Hall & Birtles Solicitors is a friendly, modern and approachable firm of solicitors. We have combined experience of 60 years working in the legal profession and keep ourselves up to date on modern practices and the constant changes to the law.
A merger between two Yorkshire Dales law firms will create “the best conditions for growth”, according to those behind the move.
From April 1, Scotts Wright and Hall & Birtles will become Scotts, Hall & Birtles with offices in Hawes, Leyburn and Richmond.
No jobs are under risk from the move, which company bosses said would benefit staff as well as clients new and old.
Steve Scott, director, said several new posts have been created and a recruitment process is underway.
He added: “We’re thrilled to get this done – it puts us all in the best position to grow and thrive in what has become an ever more competitive market.
“Our ethos is and always has been to provide quality work at a fair price. We are known for our straight-talking approach and being easy to deal with. This is at the heart of Scotts, Hall & Birtles.”
Stuart Hall, director, said the new business would be able to offer a wider range of services as it had expanded its range of expertise working under the same roof.
He added: “This will enable us to offer all the advantages of a bigger firm while maintaining the essence of the small, family-run operation that our clients value.
“I’d like to thank all the staff and clients for being so supportive of the move – we are excited about what lies ahead.”
Hall & Birtles represented 60 years of combined experience working in the Dales and beyond, while Scotts Wright can trace its roots back to 1831.
Mr Scott added: “You can’t last that long without the trust of the community you serve, and this deal ensures that Scotts, Hall & Birtles are best placed to serve the Dales, North Yorkshire and beyond for many years to come.”
All clients with active matters across both firms have already been notified of the changes, but if you would like to speak to one of the team, please call 01969 622227.
